Anyone from San Francisco?
Having visited twice in a minute I wondered what it's really llike to live there? The city is dazzling, so diverse and so much to appreciate in one place! But I realise sometimes places are not as they appear so I wondered if anyone could tell us what is it really resembling to live there?
(The 2nd time we go on the open top bus tour (middle of Winter across the Bay Bridge, Mad! and we thought it be really funny that people contained by the houses on top of their garages be oblivious to the fact we could see surrounded by their houses! We saw all sorts, boobies, bottoms etc! Close your curtains!)

It's a great place to live, you won't go and get a real discern for it from a bus tour. But, it is very expensive. You requirement to have a solid income to live here. It have it's wild moments, but overall is vastly nice. You just call for to familiarize yourself beside the neighborhoods and get to know those you resembling and those you dislike. There's always stuff to do, and society are really friendly.
San Francisco is amazing. It is the most diverse, cosmopolitan city on the westcoast and one of the most politically progressive cities contained by the world. It's environmental record is second to no other voluminous city in the world.
I wouldn't live anywhere else contained by the near adjectives. With the food, culture, crazy-fun activities, and music scene, I love every wake moment.
Amazing activities
- Bay to Breakers
- Hardly Strictly Bluegrass
- BYOBW
- Street Fairs
- Outside Lands Music Festival
- Treasure Island Music Festival
- Carnival
- Love Parade
- Fleet Week
See, isn't it amazing?
Most people who live surrounded by San Francisco wouldn't want to live anywhere else. It's cultured, has mild weather, have so much natural allure to it, and, as you said, is so diverse. The big problem is that it's an expensive place to live, and, like most cities, in that are places that are run down or dangerous at dark. I was born and raise there, so I'm biased, but plentiful of my friends who are from all over don't want to give up your job, even with such dignified rent.
San Francisco is great. You have everything right at your doorstep: museums, theatres, nightclub, restaurants, shopping, sports. Public transportation is comprehensive. Being in California, near are spectacular vistas and panorama in every direction. As the oldest main city on the West Coast, San Francisco also has a greatly 'cozy' quality to it. The buildings own history and character.
It can capture a little crazy sometimes though -- what near all the disturbance and street people. While it isn't the most dirty metropolis contained by the world, it could certainly use somewhat more scrubbing. And it's insanely expensive, so keeping a suitable job can be outstandingly stressful.
As for the public nudity, all right, there are trial complications (as with most things within this city):
In 1993, the SFPD arrested some folks running the San Francisco marathon "al naturale." Imagine their surprise when the charges be dismissed because the presiding judge couldn't find any directive against public nudity.
In certainty, no such prohibition exists. Section 314 of the California Penal Code deals near lewd and lascivious acts. But that ability unwanted sexual advances must usher the nudity to in safe hands a conviction.
Sure, it's a great place, but like so heaps will respond:
EXPENSIVE
Oh well.
ps- SF is full of exhibitionists (in response to the bus ride).
It's like everywhere else... in attendance are good things and discouraging things about it. For some, the devout outweighs the bad, and they stay. For others, the desperate outweighs the good, and they take off. I wouldn't say it's my just the thing place to live... but it's certainly better than most places I've lived.
As for the bus tour... you know, I mull over that's the first time in my natural life I've ever really wanted to give somebody a lift one of those bus tours.
