Anyone know of cool places to live between San Francisco and Sacramento that dont own adjectives the Fog?
Late 20's couple relocating to Northern California. Just looking for neat places to live and to hold some fun for a while. Don't prefer to live on the coast or too close to the heat of the desert. Thanks everyone!
Answers:
Pretty much anywhere in the East Bay. San Ramon, Danville, Pleasanton, Walnut Creek, Dublin-- they're adjectives really nice, safe cities. And adjectives are close to Bart stations, so getting into SF would be pretty easy. Stay away from Richmond, though.
S.F. to Sacramento, what is that? Roughly 100 miles.. Lot's of places between the two. If you don't get fog within the summer, you'll get Tule Fog surrounded by the winter months near the Sacramento nouns. S.F. is nice.. Maybe you might want to reconsider and surmise about Santa Rosa. North of S.F. going on for 45 minutes to an hr. depending on traffic on 101.
you are going to be hard pressed to find anywhere surrounded by the northern california area that does not own fog at some point in the year. Sacramento have a lot of the tule/pea soup type fog contained by the winter, but is hotter than blazes in the summer. SF is foggy and cool within the summer.
First choice for me would be the east bay nouns. Maybe Walnut Creek/Pleasant Hill/Concord area. Only somewhat bit of fog in the winter, but zilch horrible. Nice temps year round. 40s to 50s in the Winter and possibly 80s - 90s in the summer. though it can be hotter or colder than that depending on the year. This is probably the most expensive nouns.
Napa is similar to walnut creek, but is certainly foggier year round and a bit cooler than the east sound. Summers are usually in the 70s to 80s and winter 40s to 50s. It rain a lot contained by the north bay. Except for wineries, there's not a total lot to do in Napa. But you are singular a 45 min ferry ride or saloon ride to SF. And Sac is maybe an hour.
Vacaville is also a nice nouns. Kind of sort of like Napa weather sagacious, but a bit warmer within the summer. There isn't a whole lot to do near in expressions of excitment and fun, but you are about in the middle between SF & Sac. So best of both worlds.
Benicia,American canyon, napa walnut creek.doesn`t matter what you do do not live in vallejo its a enormously dangerous town, santa rosa and san jose are pretty nice too,I merely left California and I lived near my whole enthusiasm,Its way to expensive to live nearby,I now live surrounded by a 2500 sq ft. home 4 bedrooms, and Im paying the same a month in a minute as I was within california for a 2 bedroom apt.well accurate luck!!
I live in San Bruno. It's in the region of twenty minutes away from San Francisco. There's rarely any fog, except on impressively very chilly days, and the summers are newly right. Usually it starts warming up contained by August-September, then the season rolls within normally. The winters are tolerable, never too cold. Spring brings seriously of rain, but that's to be expected.
There's tons of hot developments in San Bruno, including the remodeling of the shopping shopping arcade, new homes and apartments, and developmental improvements throughout the city. I've lived here since I be a in order school and hold always enjoy. It's close to the city, and San Bruno is adjacent to San Francisco International Airport (about 5 minutes away from my home!).
Overall I consistency it's a great location. There are great school, great rest, and the community is safe and involved.
Good luck, I hope you find the right place for you! =]
Hmm... I have solely lived in the San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties, and they other have fog within the valley! Same go for Humboldt county in Northern California.
I don't approaching fog either, but that's because I'm a paranoid twit who think werewolves live in it. I know - I am stupid! :o(
Napa is nice. It's cheaper than living upvalley. And lower crime than American Canyon and definitely lower than Vallejo. If Napa is too expensive, enjoy you checked out Suisun? My sister in statute used to live there to bump up her kid. She liked it greatly, but then her undertaking took her elsewhere.
San Bruno is nice
Since you are speaking of between SF and Sacremento, and are looking to escape the coastal fog, I would recommend one East of the Sonoma Mts, or in the Napa-Sonoma-Fairfield areas. Know this though; the fog is a moderator, and areas that enjoy fog have smaller number variance in temps than do the inland locations. In other words, minus the fog, inland places are hotter in summer and colder surrounded by winter.
There is alot of foreclosures ALL over california. If you go to foreclosure websites your can see the details of the houses. I live surrounded by California, about 1 1/2 away from Los Angeles. No issue where you live here nearby is always gonna be greatly hot weather in the summer, and fog everywhere contained by the fall/winter. I dont live close to the desert at all and its be in the 100's most of the summer. So be severely prepared for the wheather.
Hope this was of oblige you!
There is fog everywhere surrounded by N. Calif. in the winter, some times nil visibility. Only Western sections of Southern Ca. have less or no fog. Lived within both N & S Ca. for 60 yrs. Good luck.
Lisa H is right on target, great answer.
