Since you're chitchat about 2 days, I assume you expect the town of Mendocino, not all of Mendocino County.
Still, you can start beside www.gomendo.com, which is Mendocino County's tourist web site. The town of Mendocino itself is fairly small, but it's located on a drop-dead gorgeous stretch of north coast with lots of parks and beach. In town, look for good seafood and shops next to interesting stuff. The entire town is on the register of historic places. There are supposed to be house and garden tours, but I've not done those. I suspect there will be some sort of little cavalcade over the Labor Day weekend, if only wine and cheese taste. Those can be lots of fun.
I in recent times came wager on. I really enjoyed cup beach, which is surrounded by Fort Bragg, very short drive away. The coast is full of sea chalice. It's absolutely fabulous.
