How does Las Vegas rate for a place to live?

what i miss most:
Lights! .. not the prettiness but the fact that I don't hold to drive in pitch black through a desperate neighborhood.
Saftey: see above. this probably doesn't work for most people, but from detroit its alot safer surrounded by LV since everything is always overt and always okay kept.
Dog Parks: Best dog parks etc anywhere!
Nightlife: does this need an explanation
Jobs: you own to literally shut yourself in a closet to not find a brief in LV.
Sushi: and other ethnic restaurants.
I've lived in Las Vegas my entire go, and I love it. Las Vegas is so much more than just the Strip.
Right presently, there are abundantly of home foreclosures- my zip code is the seventh utmost in the nation- but if you can put up for sale your house, you can buy for really cheap here.
I love it. But I know many empire who move here don't. I really wonder what they expected it to be like.
The strip is such a small part of the pack of Vegas, I barely even step there. Traffic is really not that doomed to failure, but I suppose it depends on where you're from. It get bad at rush hour, but what central city doesn't have that problem? As for pollution, I don't reflect it's bad at adjectives but I did spend some time living in Bakersfield, CA, and the atmosphere quality is pretty fruitless there.
It really depends where on earth you live in Vegas. I own a friend who lives just stale the strip and she loves it. She's within walking distance to everything and it's awfully cheap. But, I couldn't live there. Her neighborhood and building look objectionable, and I wouldn't walk around here after dark.
On the other foot, I live in a nice calmness neighborhood. I have a patio with grass and a couple of trees, and I'm 2 blocks away from my son's elementary college. If I want to go see a show, or progress to a nice restaurant, I can hop on the freeway and be at the strip in around 20-30 minutes.
The city itself is pretty standard compared to most cities. The nice thing is there's other something to do here. Anyone who gripes about man bored in Vegas isn't trying massively hard. Jeez, we lived surrounded by Barstow before moving here. The merely place to shop was Walmart. I will never vacate this city.
Depends on what you want out of life. I am from Chicago lived within Hawaii and currently live in San Fran. I be over Vegas after 3 months. I signed a 7 month lease and still have my apt out within now. To me Vegas is not a true city. Its a great place to leave but I didnt see anything much to the city but the strip.
People would talk in the order of how cheap the cost of living is cheap housing, cheap rentals. Yes this is very true. But I let somebody know you what if you wanna play you gotta pay. Thats why Im within the Bay.
I have lived surrounded by Vegas for more than three decades and love it. But you have to love the desert climate near the extreme highs and the cold winter wind, exclusive of the gaming industry. The cost of living is similar to LA and Seattle. Vegas has a regular city next to all the regular city endeavours for families, but is a 24/7 town for shopping, dining, shows, and laying a bet.
We do not have state income import tax. Though right now due to relatives attempting to buy homes they could not afford, housing is great. And a couple of hours away is LA or the ski slopes of UT.
I have lived contained by four other states, visited copious others, and love Vegas!
I don't know but I am moving to Vegas Sat Feb2 and I will let you know.
The foreclosure rate is "super high" right now! We are surrounded by drought. Traffic is terrible. Pollution is "bad". I've be here for 20 years.
