We are driving over to Carlsbad from LasVegas today for a 6 day stay. What is near to do in the nouns that we absolutely must not miss?

You'll love Carlsbad! You can pace the beach nouns, either on the sand or on their fundamentally nice walkway that go the length of the shore near town.

The small town is quaint and at hand are shops, places to eat and hours of darkness time entertainment.

If you go south, you can see Sea World, travel into the city and you can find great places like an authentic pub, great places to get through, shopping, a warf, etc.

This place has it adjectives! Carlsbad has one of the greatest libraries I've ever see, on Dove Lane. They have free entertainment too, check the rota, I caught a big name jazz musician contained by January that was great--and for free!

If you approaching the outdoors, hiking places are all around, hose sports, boating, etc., etc. Enjoy!

Carlsbad Caverns!!
Go to the Self Realization Temple in Encinitas bad of the 101. It has gardens that are accessible to the public and built right on the ocean cliffs overlooking Swami's Beach. The view of the ocean are some of the best I've see and the gardens are quite nice too.

Eat at Swami's - a cafe on the mountainside of 101 across from the temple, for breakfast and great coffee, or at Kealani's sour D street for the best Hawaiian plate lunch outside Hawaii (imho)
Carlsbad Caverns is not surrounded by Carlsbad CA; I think it's within New Mexico.**********

If you have childlike children, go to Legoland.

If not, try So. Carlsbad sand and other local beaches; it's a great time to jump to the beach in a minute.

For a fun time, really good pizza and craft beer on draft you gotta stir to Pizza Port in Carlsbad. They're one of the top craft breweries contained by California, and they carry other breweries' beers on thump as well. Very informal setting and lots of fun. If you close to really good pizza and really suitable beer you'd really like this place.

If you resembling craft beer also go to the fresh Stone Brewery in Escondido for their tour; be sure to engender reservations for their restaurant there ahead of time for unbelievably interesting food and an unusual setting. Note that the tours sometimes fill up hasty on weekends but you should have no problems during the week I guess. Call first. By the way, they don't charge for any the tour or the beer samples at the train of the tour either...can't vanquish that!.. Their restauant/bar usually has almost 30 craft beers on tap. Stone is considered one of the top ten craft breweries within the country.

If you like margaritas, stir for El Callejon in Encinitas. They own hundreds of kinds of Tequilla surrounded by their bar. They don't use bottled tequilla mix; you can keep watch on them go thru hundreds of limes a light of day making their fresh from-scratch stuff. The food can be good or mundane. I really resembling their Cilantro Soup; very unusual, and if you close to cilantro you'll want to give it a try. I also resembling their Mexico city style tacos; different probably than what you are use to.

Moonlight Beach in Encinitas is near and is a great little neighborhood beach where on earth you can also get food and rent out boogie boards.

Other nice restaurant recommendation would include the Vigilucci's restaurants in Encinitas and Carlsbad.

You might soak up visiting the Oceanside pier and visit their beach sometime; just up Coast Highway. You can rent out boats from the marina here if that interests you.

You might be interested in the small Museum of Making Music which is contained by Carlsbad, not far from Legoland and the CArlsbad Company Stores.

These are just a few concept; I'm not sure what your interests are so I'm sure some of these ideas won't interest you. Oh, almost forgot to mention that the spa at La Costa is pretty resourcefully known if the ladies surrounded by your group would like a moment or two pampering/massage/etc. Expensive but luxurious.

Also on the expensive end of things, you might delight in a drive thru Rancho Santa Fe, one of the most exclusive communities in the U.S. There's an expensive, wellknown restaurant near called Mille Fleurs if you are looking to get through at a high ruin expensive restaurant.

I know this sounds a little goofy but I sometimes find its fun to drive thru RSF on Sundays and look at friendly houses for 4 million dollar houses for sale, poke thru the rooms and visualize living there, later figuring out which of these minimansions I'd prefer to buy. I realize most society would find this a little strange but I think it's fun.

If you play golf, spend a fortune at Aviara or La Costa courses. Aviara have great restaurants too. If you don't want to pay the $200 for golf, you can stir to Encinitas Ranch Golf course for considerably less but later you are not on a beautiful PGA course. The investigational Carlsbad city course isn't open but for a few weeks or months.

Nice hiking around Bataquitos Lagoon; nice to see wildlife, especially birds. Watch out for poison oak though.

If you want nightlife, the area around Carlsbad Villege Dr. have lots of fun places. If you are roudy though beware as police are responding to lots of complaints re this lately and you will be busted.

Want to shop? Carlsbad Company Stores is a high run out outlet mall close to the Flower Fields which has Coach, etc. stores. The Flower Fields are done blooming for the year so no point contained by visiting them.
The beaches, Torrey Pines National Park is divine, ummm... the mexican food is great...
