Directions within NYC- from Yonkers to Manhattan afterwards from Manhattan to Port Chester?

I am taking a large group from St. Joseph's Seminary surrounded by Yonkers, to Times Square in Manhattan. Does anyone know the bus and subway number/station I necessitate to take.

Also I want to go from Manhattan to Port Chester- any suggestions of what is the easiest?

Answers:
I agree with second one, but there's also other approach also.
There are MetroCard vans or store merchant that provide MetroCard.
Another option is:
Take Bee-Line 25 to Central Park Av or put your foot along Miles Sq Rd to Central Park.
Then paid $5 next to Regular (Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard or 7-Day Express $41 card, or Easy Express Card, then clutch BxM4C Manhattan Express to 5th Av/51st St or 42nd St, then put your foot to Times Square.

If you do not prefer express bus or Metro-North, take Bee-Line 25 to Nereid Avenue Subway, consequently take Manhattan-bound 2 train to Time Sq-42nd St.

From Times Square to Port Chester.
Via BxM4C:
Walk to proximate BxM4C stop on Madison Av including 47th St, then purloin that to last Central Park/Harding Avenues where on earth Bee-Line 13 Port Chester bus, then totter north to Tarrytown Rd, cross Central Park Av to Bee-Line 13 stop to Port Chester.
If you want to avoid the express bus or Metro-North, best way is to pick up Bee-Line 13 from White Plains TransCenter.

Take Bronx-bound (2) train to 241st St, then get hold of on Bee-Line 40 bus to White Plains TransCenter.

Take Bronx-bound (1) train to 242nd St for Bee-Line 1W White Plains TransCenter.
You can lift the Metro North Railroad from Yonkers to NY Grand Central Terminal. This will put you at 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue (East Side)

From there, follow signs contained by the station to the Grand Central Shuttle train (Grey "S").

One stop and you will be in Times Square.

From Manhattan to Port Chester: Take the "S" Times Square Shuttle put a bet on from TImes Square to Grand Central Terminal. From there, you want a Metro North Railroad train to Port Chester.

There is a huge information booth surrounded by the middle of Grand Central if you need more back.

Maps and info can be found on http://www.mta.info

Good luck

From St. Joe's the nearest bus to purloin is the Westchester Bee Line Route 25 (on Midland Avenue.walk north on Mile Square Road later over the Cross County Parkway to get to Midland Avenue..fare $2...they adopt MetroCard).

From there you will want to help yourself to the "25 - YONKERS" direction to get to the Yonkers Metro-North Station (Hudson Line) and from near you take the Southbound train to Grand Central. Then hold the "S" or "7" though the shuttle "S" is quicker, to get to Times Square.

Take the "S" or "7" backbone to Grand Central. From there you can clutch Metro-North (New Haven Line) to get to Port Chester. The train station is right within the center of the village of P.C..
