Which seaside around L.A. is best for grunion runs?
I'm planning to see a grunion run but don't know which beach is favored by the grunions. Does anyone know? Thanks!

I am not sure various grunions run near Los Angeles. The Beaches around LA are crowded and don't hols much retreat for the Grunions eggs since they are groomed with tractors weekly. The best shore I know of is Carpentaria State Beach, but that is moderately far away, but the amount od grunion during each run is incredible. for a closer seaside try Oxnard Shores, or Ventura State Beach, there aren't as abundant fish and can be really hit and miss...but it usually is a good turnout on illustrious peak times.
Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro
Cabrillo Beach is particularly the best place. The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium has organized grunion runs that anyone can contribute in. Just contact them to see when they're doing it subsequent.
