In memory of one Baseball's finest, I thought I would ask what everybody's favorite?

memory of Joe Nuxhall is?

I think mine is the familiar " This is the Ole' Lefthander, rounding third and heading toward home." Nothing could be more true on this sad November time.

Also, if you haven't voted for Joe for the HOF, make sure you do.

Not a big Cincinnati fan, so he is subdivision of a past of baseball I know nought about
All the Kroger commercials!!
Joe and Marty be part of my every summer since I can remember. Listening to those two WLW THE BIG ONE especially during the "Big Red Machine" days be a great time. Summers will not be the same.
LOL- this isnt intended to darken his memory a bit, but my funniest memories of Joe were contained by the mid to late 80's, when it be obvious following in the games that he have been enjoy some beer, and he would start to slurr a bit. "Thris is the ole lefthanderr, rrounding third and headed for home". LOL, we used to other get a dutiful laugh out of that. Marty and Joe- sturdy to imagine a better combination.
A Cincinnati native myself, I cant even presume of the Reds without thinking of Joe Nuxhall and the Big Red Machine!! I love his established saying also and im glad Cincinnati honored him by putting those words on display contained by downtown...im glad he got to come stern in his final year and work for the Reds again because I know he truly loved it! So immediately the Ole' Lefthander has properly signed off and he will be massively missed
Bill W. is beneath comment.
I remember growing up surrounded by Springfield, Ohio, looking forward to baseball season. From the warm spring afternoons, through the sultry evenings of summer and into the crisp tumble, folks would sit on their front porches and listen to "Jim and Joe on the radio" [Jim McIntyre]
The old timers other had their lucky Reds trilby, or T-shirt,
or doesn`t matter what their lucky Reds item might be, sipping [well, some were poundin' 'em] a cold Weidemann {the Old Riverboat Captain "recommend[ed] it to your attention"}
or Burger or Schoenling while letting Joe paint a word-picture of the performance.
I stayed home sick from school sometime and listened to a double-header on WIZE-AM. 8 hours on a bit transistor radio. Time flew by! Just me and the radio and I had great fun. [Prolly around 1969]
Joe other reminded me of my Dad, who is still going strong at 84 yrs. Both men are as sweet, kind, and loving as any creature can be. Beloved as well.
What a globe team they must enjoy where Ol' Joe go!
All hail this great man! [he'd convey me to cut it out]
R.I.P.
We love you, Joe Baby!
