We are trying to plan a weekend trip. I am contained by KS, and I want to budge somewhere thats a must see. Any suggestions

Not sure what part of Kansas you are surrounded by. But, Graceland (Elvis's ranch) is definately a must see. It's about a 6 hour trip from Stillwater, OK. It is surrounded by Memphis, TN. You can check out Beale St. while you're there (very prominent -- or infamous -- bar strip).
Another resort -- Branson, MO for the family.
Option 3 -- Hot Springs or Eureka Springs contained by Arkansas. Not exactly must see site seeing. But, both are pretty awesome with hours of daylight spas, bed and breakfasts, and neat cave for some exploring.
4) St. Louis, MO has tons to do. You're contained by KS so you have probably already be there. But, except, the Arch is a must see. It's also a must to get a distance shot of yourself "lifeless from the arch."
I haven't really been North of Kansas so I dont know what's within Nebraska and the dakotas. Any other awesome site is probably going to require a plane ride.
