You might want to try out Iron Cactus. If you want to venture out roughly speaking 5 minutes away is Victory Park - a very up and coming nouns. House of Blues is there and some great restaurants resembling N9NE Steakhouse. Also Ghostbar is at the W hotel. A couple of blocks down you have Uptown where on earth there are tons of great restaurants and clubs.
Go to the Holocaust Museum. The 6th Floor Museum. The Conspiracy Theory Museum. The Dallas World Aquarium. If you don't mind going just a tad bit out of the opening, you can go to the Galleria shopping precinct.*
