Naples is a fabulous place for a beach leave. I love the beach by Naples Pier where on earth you can walk for miles along the shoreline or basically sit and watch the fishermen on the pier (there is plenty of parking contained by small lots adjacent to the shore - take garrison for the meter)
Look into renting a boat for the day - it's surprisingly affordable - I similar to to rent from Marco Island (right on Bald Eagle Drive as you drive onto the Island)
If you fancy a bit of shopping after all that sand work try the Miromar outlets (off junction 123 of the I75).
I'm sure you'll own a great time
