Is it possible to win student rush tickets for The Nutcracker contained by New York City?
Do the seats pack up quickly once it get to December? I'll be visiting NYC during Christmas and hoping to view the show sometime between Dec27 and Dec30.

Sadly, the ballet at State Theater surrounded by Lincoln Center does not offer student rush tickets.
Here's a couple of on-the-cheap alternatives:
1. Go to the Metropolitan Opera on the time you intend to see a show, as they DO offer $20 rush sitting room!
2. Check out the TKTS booth in Times Square for same-day, half-price theater tickets.
3. Go rime skating for FREE in Bryant Park!
4. Lastly, if your heart is set on the Nutcracker, you could turn there on the afternoon of the performance and see what sitting room they have vanished. The upper balcony sitting room aren't terribly expensive, and the prospect is decent. Every very soon and then, if you take into custody the ticket rep in a honest mood, they'll actually throw a same-day discount your means of access. Who knows, conceivably they'll be in the holiday spirit.
