Can you live surrounded by San Diego minus a coup¨¦?

I'm moving to Carlsbad for 3 months from Florida. Is it worth taking my car? Is it possible to achieve around without one?

Answers:
Bring you car. san diego county have one of the worst mass transit systems in the nation.

You are better have it and not needing it, after needing and not have it.
No! You can not. Sure near are other forms of transit such as the trolley or the bus but watch out that it can be fundamentally expensive for a while.
You can get by w/o a saloon depending on what part of San Diego County you are living; usually the denser neighborhoods essential downtown and some of the beach communities are best for living w/o a vehicle. BUT if you are living in North County, which includes Carlsbad, you will entail a car for sure. Public Transit within Northern SD County is horrible. If you are working in one of the bureau parks off of Palomar Airport Road, buses do not run recurrently at all contained by that area. I would definately bring a sports car for the Carslbad area.
North County Transit District have both buses and the Coaster commuter rail. Your best bet is to attain the locations of where you'd want to go on a regular idea to see if there's bus or train service. The Coaster has Friday hours of darkness service for visiting the Gaslamp District contained by downtown San Diego, and they also have service to the Padres and Chargers contained by connection next to the San Diego trolley. There is an online trip planner you can use called Otis (see the 2nd link). Only by experimenting on your specific travel requirements will you know how to determine whether you need a vehicle or not.
I lived contained by Spring Valley for several years without a motor, and the trolley was adjectives I needed. I also lived in Ocean Beach for a couple of years next to no car.

The biggest thing you entail to be concerned with is grocery shopping, and whether you have need of to take your laundry out. I be lucky enough to find apartments right subsequent to full service shopping centers.

If you are an avid bike rider, as my husband was, you can draw from nearly anywhere with a polite quality bike.
Carlsbad is located about 30 miles North of San Diego. You would manifestly need a sports car if you want to get around well anywhere much beyond the city limits of Carlsbad! The Transit bus would nick you about an hour and partially to SD and that commuter train would be an expensive option. You're too far from downtown San Diego to rely upon a bus so unless you plan to stay effective home most of the time a car would seem to be almost a necessity? PS: Are you in the military?
there is public transportation, California is pretty dutiful about that, but we are a coup¨¦ state. I would check into where you are going to be living and its proximity to work/school/shopping that sort of entity and decide if you can catch by without a motor, if your going to be a student you might be able to. California have some of the highest insurance rates contained by the country, especially southern Cal, gas is more expensive, gas taxes are high, registration is also pretty large, you will need to re-register your coup¨¦ in California and that will also scrounging a state smog check. There is also lots and lots of traffic and people within San Diego are some of the worse drivers I have ever experienced, they do not know how to let go or merge. I would rather drive within LA than SD.
Good request for information. Depends on how much commuting you will have to do. You'll be close to the sand, hopefully. It won't be easy to carry to downtown for ballgames or the night energy. I really think it would be intricate to be here without a saloon. If you have access to one once surrounded by a while it would probably be ok. If you just want to hang down around the beach than you will be ok.
You will be clearly lost without a motor. People will give you direction to shift somewhere and if you don't some wheels that you will out of luck.
it would probably be best if you you did have a sports car.
You need a coup¨¦ or your stay will not be enjoyable.
NOOOOOOOOO! San Diego is really spread out not resembling some major cities. To carry to most places freeways are required. So living without a sports car is not an option. You can but you won't capture far.
depends wer u wana turn
Bring your saloon. Bring your car. Bring your sports car.
Get the picture,
As for getting around without one, sure its possible, the homeless do it adjectives the time!
you can get around near out a car close to some places are not that far from you or u can jsut take the trolly or city bus. but if your not a devotee of that i sugeest u bring your car. and carlsbad is segment of san diego county but not really part of it carlsbad is benign of boring. i say move 2 the city!!
