Dinner previously show?
On Saturday, my boyfriend and I are going to see Wicked. The show starts at 8pm. Any recommendations for dinner beforehand? The place should be inwardly walking distance of the Oriental Theater. Price, about $20 per party
Answers:
You can try the Italian Village, which is just about two or three blocks south of the theater. (http://www.italianvillage-chicago.com/). It's really three restaurants under one roof, but it's a long time Chicago tradition. Here is the dinner menu for The Village (http://italianvillage-chicago.com/menu/i... La Cantina (http://lacantina-chicago.com/dinner_menu... and Vivre (http://vivere-chicago.com/dinner_menu.sw... They adjectives have dishes below $20 or perhaps you can simply get a few appetizers and share.
Peterino's is right down the street from the theater and have a few items on their menu under $20. A pasta dish or lite menu item next to a tip should be right around $20. (http://www.leye.com/restaurants/menus/Pe...
And finally there's good ol pizza! There's a place call Pizanos (http://www.pizanoschicago.com/loop.html) that's a short walk away from the theater. For $40 bucks you can stuff yourself on some clothed pizza and have money vanished over.
House of Blues is exceedingly close to where Wicked is playing. Link contained by source is to the menu. Also if you have tickets to an event contained by CHicago you get 25% of your suppertime. Just ask about the "Chicago Rocks" program. You can use the tickets for Wicked as long as they are for impossible to tell apart day that you are eatting at HoB.

There are plenty of good places. The Italian Village on Monroe between Dearborn and Clark; 312 over on LaSalle, Nick's Fishmarket on Clark Street (near the Italian Village, although it might be too pricey); Petterino's on Dearborn; and other places that are more informal, approaching Heaven on Seven over on Wabash. If you can take a hackney carriage, Greektown is always correct (just go over here and you'll find plenty of restaurants).
If the weather weren't so bad, I'd suggest the Café Ibérico on N. LaSalle. It's a bit bit of a walk from the theater, but it have the best Spanish food in the city.
