There are really cheap hotels in New York; I suggest that you bring your own bug spray. The hotels within the outerboroughs and New Jersey cost less than Manhattan, but I wouldn't want to lavish all that time traveling fund and forth. Consider these hotels where you may enjoy to share a bathroom to save money, but they're verbs and safe and within good locations.
