For the first time to LA on a budget where on earth should I stay and what should I do? In a short interval of time.?

Ok...if you want the "trendy" experience...stay on sunset...there is a best western in that (pricier than most best westerns, but great location & you will save on gas). If you want the "touristy" experience...later stay by Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park...most hotels at hand offer free shuttles to Disneyland & hotels are cheaper than around Disneyland...you also enjoy access to public transportation, including the greenline to blueline to redline.(meaning Buena park area to long sand or downtown/hollywood)...it's only $5 for the intact day (rail & bus). I love Grifith Park. It have a lot to do in that. There is the Zoo, Gene Autry Museum, Observatory & public golf course. Universal Studios is great for a first time LA visitor. There are a bunch of budget hotels & motels close by...and here is a lot to do at citywalk. (parking is more than $10 at hand though, so if you plan on doing a lot here...it might be better to stay in walking distance of citywalk). The seaside area is nice too. I love Huntington Beach & in that is always something going on at hand. The problem is that all of those things are surrounded by completely different parts of L.A...and gas is so expensive that you need to hold a large budget for that, unless you plan on public transportation. www.mta.network may help near that. Then, you can stay in a hotel close to the places that you plan to dance at night (so, you can use public transportation for daylight trips). There is so much to see, that it's impossible to see it all. Just pick the ones that you really must see & after if you have extra time you can include others in. Have a great trip!!
it really adjectives depends on what your into.
if your into socializing hit up a couple bars on santa monica blvd or hollywood blvd. If you approaching to dance in attendance is a million clubs.
Beat it, DV8, Avalon, tiger heat, Rage. only to name a few. or stop by down town LA. Alvera Street. its like a block of latin history consequently walk a few more block and hit up china town. near is a million art exibits there to if your into that. or drive 30 mins twoards huntington seaside or santa monica peir. both are really fun. like i said it adjectives depends on what you want to do or are into.
