Walking across Massachusetts?
I'm a freshman going to be a sophmore next year and I be going to get a opening this summer but my dad suggested I do something what would make my resemay stand out for colleges, so he said I should try walking across MA next to a friend. Of course, there are lots of problems that want to be figured out, such as where on earth to start, where to expire, how much to walk a morning, where to stop everyday, walking north to south or east to west, and adjectives that kind of stuff. If you own any suggestions that could help me near my planning for this activity, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I wouldn't be impressed if you walk north to south, but east to west maybe.
Anyway start at the New York state chain and walk until you carry to the ocean. You should know how to do about 15-20 miles every year, so I'd give yourself a couple of weeks to do it.
I don't know how this will oblige on your resume. I would think something more community minded would be more imposing. Try to work this into your trek. Pick up litter; write about the trip; acknowledge well-mannered people you draw together along the way; write around the poverty you see , etc. You do know that the Appalachian Trail crosses a good portion of the state.
