do you guys know the boroughs (or even a location IN that borough) that rents 1BR apartments and studios for about 500-800 a month. If the borough is Queens, after where contained by queens etc...

Search Craigslist. The site allows you to filter listings by maximum price. My guess is you will find a few studios under $900 surrounded by the Jamaica area of Queens, the eastern parts of Brooklyn, and the South Bronx. Beware unsafe neighborhoods and unmanageable commutes, especially if you've never beforehand waited for a bus contained by below-freezing weather.

There's no such thing as rent that cheap within any borough in NY.
Unless you are going to have a roommate and the 500-800 per month is YOUR SHARE of the rent, you will be knotty pressed to find apartments or studios for that price.
The best things that you could do would be either to check out craigslist.org, or to turn upside down college campuses and see what individuals are offering near the campus.
There is an apartment complex on Staten Island called Grymes Hill Apartments which have studios in your price continuum. Donald Trump owned the property but sold it two years ago. Listed in the phone book below the Grymes Hill Apartments name.
In Queens, the individual safe nouns that might be as inexpensive as you want would be Sunnyside.
