Would you consider NYC a risk-free place to live?
Like overall, to walk down the streets surrounded by the daytime, even nightime as long as you don't go down alleys. And what is the safest spot within your opinion? Manhattan? Brooklyn?
Answers:
It adjectives depends on the person.
If you would perceive safe within Boise, Idaho you will feel undisruptive in NYC.
Statistically the crime rate is matching.
All spots of NYC are safe and sound; you can walk anytime of the light of day or night contained by this city. I know because I am from the Bronx, and I haven't mugged, or robbed yet.
Yes it's not detrimental. There aren't many allys contained by NYC despite what's portrayed in movies. Pretty much anywhere contained by Manhattan south of Harlem would be considered safe 24 hours. As for Brooklyn/Queens, commonly safe during the time, at late darkness when the streets are empty anything could come up, just totter swiftly and with a purpose (know exactly where on earth you're going) and chances are you'll be fine. Parts of Brooklyn (Bed-Stuy, Bushwick) and most of the Bronx, the dark rules apply during the day.
And don't attract unnecessary attention to yourself: men, SHOULD NOT wear tight girl's pant. This seems to be some genus of trend, and these people are beseeching to get robbed. Also disappear the goddamned iPods at home! Thieves steal new ones every month to bring back the latest music!
Technically the safest big city in America and beside both the NYPD and the population increasing each year added into the effect of gentrification and borough-wide improvements occurring, it stands to get even better
depends on where on earth stasticaly safer then most if all voluminous cities but some areas are just discouraging no place would be very undisruptive in middle of dark. Within each boro here are safer and more dangerous areas. I contemplate in morning light u are locked in much of city ust use commin sense desserted areas are worse later crowded ones
