Going to a concert at RIT. Where should I stay to be close by RIT and nightlife within Rochester?

The question pretty much say it all...I want to book a hotel, but I want it to be close RIT and local bars. Walking distance would be nice...are within bars close RIT?

From my experience there are no bar within walking distance to RIT. It's Wal-Mart, tie up restaurant type stuff in the nouns. RIT is not in the city of Rochester if you thought that.
