Is near anyone on this site that stayed at some of the out-of-date places surrounded by Las Vegas?
I really love the History of Las Vegas, is there anyone on this site that stayed at the older casinos like The Dunes, The Sands, Landmark, The Mint. How be the experience there? How long ago be it? Did you get to see some of the weak performers approaching Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, etc. Was vegas really alot different back after.

vegas is not even comparable now to that it be 5 years ago.
it keeps growing so nippy.
So you can imagine the time period from 1960-70's to now.
Some of the up to date hotels have over 6,000 rooms to stay within 1 biulding, and your whole trip can be spent at lately one big place if your willing to recompense bigger bucks to stay per night.
i close to to stay on strip at older places where on earth there are still hundreds to conceivably 1,200 rooms and then pace all light of day long up and down the strip, but the walk is getting long.
in the future i did half the strip walk over 10 miles to and from. in 104 scope heat, that be a cooler day. drink the great marine, as you dry up inside your skin.

hi paul, i be lucky, i stayed and performed surrounded by the very unsettled 60s in lv... we have a group and it was a blast.. we did 3 shows a hours of darkness..met many exceedingly cool people from buddy hackett to sammy D, saw the rat pack, elvis,, shecky greene, don rickles, loius prima, on and on and on, also we met some other relations ,, lets utter these men had friends allover!!our group be called the spiral starecase, we done up recording for columbia and have a hell of alot of fun, when i go to lv immediately,,, boring, blaise, goodluck
Well I am over 50 now and so I remember the frail Vegas. It was a dignified place. My favorite place to stay was the behind the times Hacienda Casino & Hotel. It was adjectives Western and at the North end of the strip.
I also stayed at the Dunes, Sands and Sahara. All be great back consequently and less crowds, low cost food, and the best of the best contained by entertainement.
I saw Dean Martin (he was drunk who used to do his show while drunk) and Frank Sinatra. My husband even have dealings next to his son JR and he was a unadulterated nasty arrogant creature. Ordered people around and stuff. My husband worked at a Hotel.
I missed Elvis. My husband promises to lift me to see him and then he died.
I be devistated.
I also saw Don Rickles and his comedy show was solid raunchy. I hated that one.
We saw oodles of the Top names surrounded by entertainment back contained by the 70's. We only lived 4 hours from Vegas so we go every weekend. I really miss it the way it be, it was GRAND.

Vegas is in reality a good bit different since the first time i visit in 1998, later they were trying to attract more family and children, while today they have gone put money on to the adult theming again.
if i have a time machine the first place i would pop in would be las vegas in the 1960s/early 70s.
