What is a pious place to dangle out surrounded by fort worth TX on a one week vacation?
Answers:
THE STOCKYARDS!
Its hard to answer this not knowing your age or interests.
I recommend Dallas. But if you are stuck on Fort Worth, here is what I suggest. I suggest taking a tour of the Texas Motor Speedway, whether you are a NASCAR fan or not. It is still interesting. I also recommend both the Kimbell Art Museum and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. I hold never been in that but the Texas Log Cabin Village seems dapper. I have be to something similar, only within Indianapolis, and it was really shipshape. Also, a must-see event in Fort Worth is the twice each day cattle drive right through the city. You can see it at 11:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Now, if you just develop to change your mind, here is what I recommend surrounded by Dallas: Dallas has more shopping per capita than any other city within the United States. So shopping is a must. There are tons of malls, stores, and boutiques in Dallas. The malls that I recommend to you are (in proclaim of best to 4th Best): The Galleria (Dallas), Stonebriar Centre (Frisco), Northpark Mall (Dallas), and Grapevine Mills Mall (Grapevine). I also recommend all of the stage theaters and art galleries/museums. As far as historical sites, you must see the 6th Floor Museum, the Conspiracy Museum, and The Dallas Holocaust Museum. I might also suggest that you check out the Mustangs of Las Colinas and the Las Colinas Movie Studio (very interesting). I recommend that you buy this book: Dallas & Fort Worth: A Pictorial Celebration (ISBN: 9781402725616). You could also procure an interlibrary loan on it if you didn't want to buy it. You can do that at your local library. Hope this Helps!*
Go to Austin! (couple of hours awa) That's where I'm at... it's pretty cool down here any light of day.. go to 6th street... (strip of bar, clubs, restaurants, etc.. ) you'll see all sorts of race & ages!
Fort Worth... is pretty much boring..
The Fort Worth Zoo, Log Cabin Village, The Stockyards, Sundance Square surrounded by Downtown Fort Worth, Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor (both in Arlington) Ripley's Believe it or Not/Palace of Wax and Lone Star Park (in Grand Prarie) Grapevine Mills Mall (in Grapevine)
Currently the science museum is closed for renovations until the stumble.
You have the Ft. Worth zoo which is one of the best rate zoo's in the nation. Also the Science Museum is awesome. It may be underneath re-construction, but if it is open jump there as economically. Also venture to the stockyards to experience cowboy enthusiasm. Then take some time to stop by Dallas. Downtown at the 6th floor museum where the Kennedy assination took place. Visit the West End for entertainment and also try to see a Stars winter sport or Mavericks game if you can. Good luck and own fun.
