Haven't you asked this query before?
No it's not true. People here live where on earth they live based on three things - 1. Economic routine. Low income people do NOT live contained by the Dominion but can be found in okay to do Alamo Heights area. On the other paw you can also find very nice homes and properties surrounded by every section of town-even surrounded by the "poor area". 2. - Familiarity. Some people grow up within one area and remain in attendance. 3. Free choice. I've probably left other reason out also but I hope you get what I'm trying to read aloud. I can't comment on other cities but I definitely can something like S.A. By the way I am "white" and enjoy lived and worked in every side of San Antonio near no problems.
Stephen you sent an e-mail earlier today and ask this same cross-examine. I will answer you here. If you want to say that a few blocks on the in the neighbourhood west side are "de facto segreation" I am not sure that that could be referred to in this path. The reason that most live surrounded by the area that you speak of is two fold, (A.) This is the nouns of Victoria courts, In a town/city of 58 % Hispanic It is reasonable that the majory of folks that live here are going to be hispanic. (B.) many of the folks that live contained by the area of the close by West Side are now living contained by Grandma's old house, as did their parents back them. No one has forced them to live in attendance and further more they have a choice to live any place contained by this city that they want too. If in your mind that the folks that don't live next to in a few blocks of down town but live within the west side but a little bit further out aren't slice of the west side you are just wrong. There is Westwood small town, Meadow Village, Rainbow Hills, Meadow Village 2, Heratage, Heratage Farm, Heratage North West, Adams Hill, Heratage Park and maybe another 40 or 50 more subdivisions on the far west side. Most of these neighborhoods are so mixed it is almost unbelieveable. Other cities could bear lessons from San Antonio around how to get along. Do I infer that there are those as individuals that are jerks, Yep! Most folks are pretty nice if you in recent times give them a unpredictability. Hispanics are the majorty of the population of San Antonio and if there be any segreation then it would be by the hispanic against the Whites and the Blacks, but I haven't see it. My US Congressman is Hispanic, My state congress people are Hispanic, my City councilman is hispanic , and I help him to get elected. My daughter is married to a Hispanic, My son is married to a Hispanic. distribute me an E-mail and tell me surrounded by it where or why you discern this way.
Samuel, are you hispanic and be aware of forced to live on the West side? My boyfriend lived on the West side and he loved it there, but he spent plentifully of time with me and I live on the Northside. I go to college on the Westside and loved it, but my family lives on the Northside and I am more comfortable where on earth I grew up just as he is more comfortable where on earth he grew up. But, when we go out, we turn to the Southside and to the downtown areas as we met on the Southside and La Tuna is one of our all time favorite places. At La Tuna, you own a mixture of mexican and other latinos, white of various cultures and black as resourcefully as mixed. We all acquire along. We just love a apt party.
Well, yes...as with every generous city in the United States next to a past of segregation, spot on areas of S.A. will be largely hispanic, black or white because their family roots are base there. There is even a Polish pocket of San Antonio ethnic group are not aware of where my family unit settled. And an Italian pocket which has pretty much died out.

I believe San Antonians are friendly, fitting people in need prejudice. We all seize along juuuust fine. There are always some prejudiced nuts. But overall, as far as Texans dance...San Antonians ROCK!
You appear to really lose sleep over this. I suggest you move there and after maybe you'll gain smarts and some sleep.
San Antonio isn't segregated, at hand are a majority of Hispanics throughout Texas and most of the Western part of the US. Many may choose to live on the west side basically as Asians live in northern Austin, but no problem not forced to live there.

I live within a part of Pasadena to be exact mostly Asian and Hispanic, full of wonderful places to shop, interesting people and great ethnic restaurants.
