not much, its simply like a small city on an island, movie theaters, view, clean nouns thats about it.

go to the seaside, snorkel, kayak, go horseback riding
nearby is so much to do there
Parasailing, snokel, scuba dive, kayak, hang on the shore, go to a stick, restaurant (eat a bison burger), ride a glass bottom boat, walk on a tram tour to the interior of the island (and see bison, fox, and bald eagles), walk hiking, go to the botanical gardens, play miniture golf, rent a golf pushcart, go shopping, hoedown at the Chi, go to a movie.
I would hold to say Parasailing! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Kayaking is fun too but don't do the tours, they're overpriced. Just pace pass the boats to the Casino and Theatre and theres a nicer coast on the other side of the Casino where you can rent kayaks for cheap at Descanso Beach Ocean Sports and its only just nicer overthere than Avalon.
Catch a movie at the theatre too. The places are uncomfortable but its a superb theatre.
You can walk on the tours if you wish but I deliberate they're a waste of money. But if you're curious and aren't on a tight budget, consequently just own fun!

rent a golf pushcart and drive around. You can take a boat tour, receive a nice meal, shop, scuba dive or snorkel.
There's two very different cities on Catalina. Avalon is the bigger and busier city. Two Harbors is quieter but it's growing so isn't as "sleepy" as it used to be.
There's the Wrigley Estate, a personality center and lots of trails. You can rent golf carts or bikes, progress kayaking or snorkeling, and get a squeeze -- after your guided horseback ride.
The place can warm up within the summer, and weekends can be crazy, but it's a great place to visit.
All the above are great answers, of course, BIRDGIRL, used to live on the island so she probably know the place and the people resembling the back of her paw.
I personally have the most fun racing around the place surrounded by golf carts, it be a blast, like bumper cars short the bumpers...It helps if you enjoy a few Catalina Volcano's first---LOL..
