How is the cost of living within Boston?
Answers:
It's pretty expensive unfortunately, but for me it's totally worth it - I definitely LOVE it in Boston. And it's cheaper than NYC, San Francisco and Washington DC.
too expensive for me. and the job marketplace sucks here right now.
that's why i'm going away!!
It depends on where you live. If you're living surrounded by Boston (Back Bay, Downtown...etc.) you'll pay closely for rent. If you live a little further out, contained by the Brighton and Allston area, you'll take a bigger place for the same price as a tiny place contained by the city.
Expensive.
Like everyone said. It's absolutely, positively expensive. If you want an overall print of how rents cost, go to:

Check out their apartments and you'll carry a pretty good outline.
The cost of living here is disgusting and makes me sick to my stomach that it costs that much. Boston's great but it's not that great.
I have a sneaking suspicion that part of what fuels the certainty that it's so pricey is that Boston is a college town and a lot of associates who come here for school, stay around. It's incredibly expensive to live here. If you go outside the city, you're probably more inclined to find something cheaper. Brighton, Allston, Watertown, Waltham and Quincy are viable alternatives and they're not far away. Brighton and Allston are neighborhoods of the city by the means of access.
Depends where on earth in Boston you are. Most areas are expensive even outside the city. The single other places that are more expensive are probably NYC or San Fran. . . . But Boston offers profusely of good job, depending what field you are surrounded by.
Very, remarkably high. Even the suburbs are fruitless. It's best to live about 25 miles outside the city where on earth it's more reasonable.
