I won (high bid) a free trip to Hawaii. Will be in attendance for 10 days will be within Maui and Oahu. What should I see?

I want to see both tourist stuff and local stuff. My 17 year old son and 15 year ancient daughter will be with me. Staying at Turtle Bay on Ohau for 6 days ... I'd love some suggestions.

Answers:
I be just lately in Oahu. Turtle Bay is a handsome resort. My suggestions while there:
-go to Pearl Harbor, see the Arizona Memorial, etc...
You will not regret it.
-go ride ATV's or Horses on

One of the best things I did on that Island
-spend a daylight at the Polynesian Culture Center
-go snorkeling a Hanauma Bay, I saw a turtle when i was here, and you'll be amazed with adjectives the fish, its also a great way to spend the daylight on a small beach

HAVE FUN!
snorkel at sharks cove by your hotel you will see turtles underwater
i would shift to the pearl harbor memorial it is an unforgetable experience and i would also definatly see diamond head its an alive volcano and you can hike up to the top. it is amazing. be sure to call in the beaches of north shore at hand are awesome surfing spots and there is an incredible zoo

enjoy fun and take lots of pics

WOW u wonthis trip u are enormously lucky
Rent a sports car and drive the Hana highway. Take diving lessons, the underwater world is awesome. Visit a luau and try the roast pork. Drive up to Halakalea Volcano and you will run thru the Sandalwood Forest, the smell is great, and the Eucalyptus trees. Enjoy the fruit and the foods. The nightlife is great also. Don't forget to watch the sunsets and the sunrises. It is a divine place. Maui is my favorite place on earth.
-Take the "Road To Hana", and get out at respectively little stop along the way - you are surrounded by for a treat! Black sand beaches, waterfall - at the end of the trip, you take to the 7 sacred pools - it's an amazing belief. Bring your suit!
-Take a boat out to Molokini (sp?) - it's an underwater volcano - a great place to snorkel.
-Get your family to a Luau... hand down, it was the best division of our Hawaiian vacation.
-Go to "Big Beach", the biggest side you will EVER see.
-Pearl Harbor...
On Oahu, already mentioned, Hanauma Bay. But don't plan on a visit on Tuesdays, its closed. - http://www2.hawaii.edu/~hanauma/

Also, Kaena Point for a journey to the Lighthouse. The North Shore for the surf. On the way to the North Shore, stop at Matsumoto's for a shave rime (my fav is Lilikoi). Stop at the Swap Meet on Wednesday & the weekend at the stadium. Don't buy anything on the islands til you check this place out first. Best thing to pick up is luggage, you'll want it if you stay at the swap meet too long.

On Kauai... Views at Waimea Canyon and Hanalei Bay. Haena State park for another walk and spectacular views.

Or merely find a beach away from Waikiki and own a very adjectives laid-back right time.
Nice resort to stay at! If you haven't be to hawaii b/4 then you are going to be staying at the nicest hotel on the North Shore. The north shore is massively laid back and offer beauty and somewhat bit of seclussion. If you have two teenagers you will prob want to trademark sure you rent a car and travel over to the Honolulu/Waikiki side of the island to see some of the touristy stuff on that side of the island. On the north shore you can travel out towards Kaena Point and see if they are film LOST out that way which is tremendously very cool. They may not be film in that location but the locals will know how to tell you whats up and where on earth they are b/c I think they are film around now for subsequent season. Just up the beach from you will be some of the most familiar beaches for surfing contained by the world. Def check out Pipeline/Sunset and Waimaia and see the surfing. Also near Waimaia here is a botanical garden that you have to payment a fee for but it is really worth it if you want to see the true beauty on the instinctive side. Amazing plants follow this river up to a beautiful flume which was also used contained by the show LOST. Can you tell I am a huge LOST aficionado...lol. I recommend traveling into Honolulu along the east side of the island to see the magnificent mountains as they climb out of the sea and on your return trip head up the middle of the island to see the pineapple field, which could become extinct in the effective future b/c of taxes and expenses. There aren't various things up on the N Shore, but they do have the coolest McDonalds I hold ever seen within Laie. Also in Laie is the Polonysian Cultural Center. I significantly recommend this on your first trip b/c it really digs into hawaiian/polynisian culture. One night you will hold to go for a luau over at the Paradise Cove luau...great food and the hula is amazing. The rest of my post will be stuff I enjoy put together for other people who own asked and I often re-post it to back others. It may be a little choppy but you will find some interesting info contained by it. I really hope this helps you out. I stayed at the T.B.H a few years ago on one of my several stays and loved it and I know you will too! Here is my other post;

Hi, Oahu is a fantastic place to go on vaction and this post that I previously put together will def sustain you out too! This post ranges from Hiking,Hotels,Waterfalls all the opening to clubs and were to receive discount coupons. I hope this helps you out! Have a great trip!

You enjoy a good number of answers to look at but I thought I would supply this since there be a few things that were different.

I love hiking Hawaii and this site is by far the most detailed. Manoa falls is one of my favorite falls to march to and although not recommended the wander up past the first falls to the second, third and beyond are amazing. Many associates go around the barrier and up the banyan roots to the second falls and swim up above. I'm guilty of that too, but it is absolutely amazing and you can dive sour the rocks into the water. This contact http://www.hawaiitrails.org/ will take you to a site that explains any trail on adjectives the islands and is an absolute MUST see if you’re going to do any hiking on the island. The rest of this post is stuff I put together for someone else and have other helpful or adjectives info for travelers to Hawaii. Def go and check that site out...you won't be disappointed. Hope this help you out.

I am a nature nut and Hawaii is a great place to soak up our beautiful planet! I put this together early but wanted to share it next to you because there are some things here that will relief you out! Hawaii is definitely worth it! I only just can't get adequate of that place! I have be 6 times and I have found satisfactory on Oahu to do that I haven't even ventured out to the other islands nonetheless! Here are some things in Waikiki and around the island to do; Dukes is def cool and right on the seaside, and if you want to dance you can pave the way over to Scruples. If you like to drink after do it in your room do it is way mode to expensive at the clubs. I suggest going to one of the 50+ ABC stores and grabbing your alcohol near for much cheaper! There is a ton of eating places down on the strip but the unadulterated Hawaii is out of town. Take the bus or drive up to manoa valley and experience the rainforest and a inbred waterfall! Take a trip to the north shore and budge to Waimaia Valley and see some of the most spectacular fauna anywhere! If you adventurous hike along the ridges and see dreamland from 4000 feet! I did that and loved every second of it..Ok powerfully it was more close to 8 hours of it but anyway..lol. This link will bring you to a site with remarkably detailed info on hiking trails http://www.hawaiitrails.org/ Diving and snorkeling are pretty awesome too! Hanuama bay is touristy and next to good origin. You are guaranteed to see tons of fish and have a nice afternoon at a good-looking beach! Diving can be done newly off shore and runs around 100 bucks for 2 tank and you don't need to be experienced. Not far out of town you can squirt ski or parasail. Wouldn't really bother with the squirt skiing because they have too masses rules in Hawaii but the parasailing is something you should at lowest try once. After that it gets mode of boring. In town the international market place is def cool and worth strolling through...a tip..jump to all the kiosk and then run back and don't be afraid to barter..that's how it works at hand! On the weekend a really cool thing to do it move about to aloha stadium for a huge flea market! I stingy huge the tents go adjectives around the stadium and everything you find for souvenirs in Waikiki you will find here for way I denote way cheaper!! Oh one ultimate thing, you own to go to a Luau and the Paradise Cove Luau is the best. oh crap...only just thought of something else that will help you out. Go to www.Entertaiment.com and buy the book for Hawaii and it will contribute you so many discount coupons it will retribution for it self right away. I did and it worked great. I just found another site that have coupons that you can print off the pattern so check this one out too http://www.ecouponshawaii.com/. Don't forget that part..really do it and you won't be apologetic. Many 2-1 coupons on dinners in the Entertainment Book. Waikiki is is really expensive so anytime you can gather money it’s a good entity. I have be to Hawaii 6 times now and would love to live in that. I hope you make it because you won't forget it! Aloha!
come to Kailua! Go to the north end...its nearly deserted.university starts next week so you shouldnt own a problem with too oodles people adjectives over , just the commonplace amounts of tourists.
