What are teh best places to live essential atlanta? I'm thinking on living possibly an hour outside of atlanta?
I'm thinking on living perhaps an hour outside of atlanta to enjoy access to a few possible companies/jobs. But I'd like to live surrounded by a quiet rural country style community to be precise not backwoods or racist. Someplace safe and within expensive. A good place to tilt a family possibly. Any suggestions?
Answers:
2 great areas: from Atlanta, 75 north into Kennesaw and Woodstock. These are WONDERFUL areas and I am so happy living contained by Kennesaw, you can also continue north into Canton and Cartersville. 2nd place: filch 85 north from Atlanta PAST GWINNETT (don't live in gwinnett), within Barrow county, up into Buford, Winder, Braselton. I wouldn't advise anything south of Atlanta. Keep surrounded by mind that traffic is going to suck driving to Atlanta from these places, but I lived here my whole time, and these are my recommendations. I would suggest Cobb over anything though, it's something nearly the awesome open community here. Similar to that of Little 5 points.
Fayetteville
North East of Atlanta
Grayson, GA
Lilburn, GA (Only contained by the Brookwood High School area)
Dacula, GA
Suwanee, GA
North of Atlanta
Alpharetta, GA
North Roswell, GA
East of Atlanta
Some area contained by Covington and Conyers.
West of Atlanta

Stay away from Buford, Norcross, Lawrenceville, Marietta, Stockbridge, Jonesboro, Powder Springs, Douglasville, Cumming,
EDIT: saw someone above mention Athens (Clarke County) NOOOOOOO the public schools are awful!! Only consider Athens if you can afford private school.
Or consider Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA & Bishop, GA) But these are more than an hour from Atlanta and if you are driving in the mornings or evenings.it will lug 2-3 hours!
Try 85-N and also 316-N... Winder, Dacula, Sugar Hill, Buford, Auburn, Statham, Braselton... Gwinnett, Barrow, Walton, Clarke counties are vastly nice and quiet, primarily rural, once you get out of the more developed and urban-suburban areas!
If going north from Atlanta, then Cartersville is just about 40 miles north, and is very trendy. If you resembling something quieter, as we did, I moved to Adairsville. Its 50 miles North of Atlanta and very barely audible. It's on I-75 and very nice to live within. It's only 50 miles to Chattanooga, and with the sole purpose 15 miles East of Rome. Here is a link to my town below. Hope it help, and happy hunting.
North of Atlanta - Canton, Cartersville, Rome, Winder, Flowery Branch, Cumming, Dalton, Dahlonega
South of Atlanta - Peachtree City, Newnan
mcdonough henry county
Alpharetta/Milton is nice. So is Suwanee/Johns Creek. All are more or less an hour outside Atlanta during rush hour.
