Dining surrounded by Uptown Chicago?

Anyone live or work in Uptown? I'm looking to accessible up a deli/cafe/baked goods location contained by Uptown. I don't see anything except Starbucks there explicitly closely similar. I was wondering how anyone feel about it? I've be out to watch and it seem busy but I don't know how well received it would be. I suggest it would be good but looking for some local input.
Thanks within advance!

Uptown is a developing nouns - shops are moving in, but the nouns still has sympathetic of a gritty feel. Always have. If you're near the Riviera Theater, or the Green Mill, however, later there's a lot of foot traffic - as okay as people looking for dinner beforehand.

You might want to check out a restaurant / slab in Uptown call the Spot, at 4437 N. Broadway. They've been successful within the area for years, and could probably endow with you some tips.

Uptown's a tricky area, overall. You could succeed within or not. Border's does surprisingly well in the neighbourhood the Green Mill, but looks weirdly out of place, for example.

you can look up resturants by location.
Well, nothing's stopping you from doing it, but you should shift check out the area. There are a few investigational shops opening up right across the street from Truman College, including a tea cafe that sell baked good, as economically as the Starbucks you mentioned that sells baked stock as well. And I believe at hand is a deli of some sort along Wilson on the south side of the street. so you will have some competition. but similar to I said, why not try? The area is gentrifying fast and there are other right locations, like for a time north along Broadway just north of Wilson. There are a few abandoned storefronts that might make a righteous location and they are rehabbing a big Baroque-designed building just across thestreet from Barnes and Nobel that might enjoy some vacancies. Then again you could move to the other side of Broadway on Wilson. That is virgin territory that have not been "upscaled" even so but there are condos popping up adjectives over. Drive around there and look at possible locations. Like I said, beside the influx of new upscale tenant, you might be able to engineer a go of it.
Agree next to the above poster about penetrating on Metromix.

Uptown has lots of Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants. Some are cafe-style.

If by "developing," Mark technique that more white, moneyed folks are moving into Uptown, well, after, yes, the area is "developing."

I thought that Borders be scheduled to close for some pretext, but I might be mistaken.
