Where do i find a cheap flight from San Francisco to San Diego on 3/23?
never taken a plane before so i'm not sure where on earth to look for good plane ticket deal

If you go to www.expedia.com and put contained by SFO (San Francisco) and SAN (San Diego) for March 23rd, it will tell you adjectives the airlines that fly that route, except Southwest.
Then go to respectively airlines website (just type the name of the airline within your search engine) and check the costs here. It's better if you book through the airlines.
Southwest generally have very apt prices, so check them first.
Finally, while you are looking, check flights from any Bay Area airport that will work for you (SFO, Oakland, San Jose (SJC). If you can use one of them, it might be cheaper.
