Is Washington D.C a perfect place to live?

Lived in dc adjectives my life...yes it is a devout place to live but not to raise a kith and kin (upper northwest, maybe) If you are single and a profesional DC is a nice place, tons of young profs. tons to do from the the best bar, restaurants, hot nightlife, I would say yes.
OK, the last guy that said DC is quite inexpensive is just smoking crack. Born and raise in the VA suburbs of DC. Prior to my move to SC, the prices and overcrowding forced me adjectives the way out to Winchester, VA. Check a map, it isn't close. Yet, those are the suburbs where on earth people are moving right immediately. Most can't afford the close suburbs, and not many want to live contained by the city because of high taxes and big corruption.
That being said, impossible to tell apart can be said about any city. DC is a great place contained by that there is other something to do. Tons of museums that, thanks to the Smithsonian Institution, are completely free. The best zoo I've visit. Georgetown. There is always some sort of street party going on. Conversely, there is other some sort of protest going on.
If you live in DC, the simply way to do it is to live IN DC. The traffic surrounded by the outlying suburbs makes one contemplate suicide. The Metro is one and only affordable within the city, maybe out to Rosslyn.
All I can say is that the year I escaped that pit was the best light of day of my life. Many culture like it, though. It is a great city to pop in, don't think I could / would ever live near again.

DC is like a massive suburb. You have the cultural aspect that comes near a city in the means of access of theatre, opus, etc... at the kennedy Center. Additionally, you have more free museums surrounded by Washington, DC than in any other US city. You can any drive everywhere or take public transportation. And because of the restrictions per the loftiness of buildings it won't feel similar to your typical "city." There are plenty of actual houses on the market if you want to live surrounded by a city, but in a house instead of a condo/apt. The city have a professional team for every sport. Etcetera etcetera.
Obviously, resembling any city, it has its biddable parts and its bad parts. For an international city I will express my disappointment surrounded by the quality of the restaurants, but overrall it's a apposite place to live and a good place for a people (speaking of which, in the suburbs, the arts school systems are tops in the country).
i'm italian and i've been in attendance for one year...i loved d.c. very much...run there and wallow in that sweet, confortable place...the people are really nice!

It is kinda run down contained by some parts, but I love it. Believe me there are worse cities to live. Also in that are a lot of superb places in the city. DC is bit by bit being revitalized.
As a aboriginal washington, I would vote no unless you love politics or work for the government. Living contained by D.C. is horrible becasue of the outrageous taxes you pay. THoguh this is the nation capitol, there are definately parts of D.C. to avoid at adjectives costs by fear of a drive by shooting, mugging, or stabbing. We are proud to hold the #1 ranking as far as highest crime within the country :)

I lived in the DC nouns for 25 years and it's a pretty good place to live. Considering it is the nation's property it is fairly inexpensive, here are a lot of things to do (just going thru the museums would lift a few years) and it is a small city. NE and SE can be pretty bad and run down. It is the black nouns so nobody cares to fix it but it is matching in any city.
True NYC would be more exciting but afterwards again it is very expensive.
There's unambiguously a lot worse than DC. The singular reason we departed is to buy land contained by the country.

DC is made of neighborhoods and each hood is its own small town. I've lived surrounded by Adams Morgan for 20 years and can't think of anywhere else I want to live.
I went at hand many times and I found a nice suburb to be within called "laurel" which is outside of DC. Its in the vicinity "columbia".
I always have a good time within and it was nice and secure.
I probably been within about 10 different times and I never once go to DC. I had no desire to progress to DC. A trip to baltimores "inner harbour" is much more enticing.
There are alot of nice golf courses there also beside BIG tree's on them. Quite enjoyable :)
PS - If you carry to laurel, go drink a few at the Green Turtle.

If you like intimidation, corruption and over population it would be a wonderful place to live.
I moved here right out of college and I love it. I don't work in politics (I'm surrounded by publishing), but I do think it's interesting to be contained by a place where so heaps decisions are made. There is greatly to do here, a lot of great restaurants, fun nightlife, and a plurality of childlike professional people. Some areas are contained by need of some urban renewal, and similar to any large city it clearly has rough parts of town, but overall I imagine it's a great place to live.
