Miami minister to much appreciated?

Please can you enlighten me about living contained by Miami for a 20 year old feminine? It will be only provisional, in the summer.
What are the best / friendliest areas? Where are here quite a few students but also profusely of Miami residents? What's it like to work in that?
I am debating between two places in America to spend my summer working, anything you can relate me about Miami will be handy and your help surrounded by the matter is appreciated!

You should check out Aventura, it's 15 minutes away from Miami, really nice nouns. You don't wanna live in downtown Miami, too risky (crime).

I don't deduce Miami is the very best place to move about. There are a wide group of ethnic groups but Miami is not known to be the friendliest. In other words, relatives avoid going there if they can. Sure, Miami is reputable, but those are definite areas of it.
I wouldn't suggest it.
