2 Beds surrounded by LA lower than $1600??
Any suggestions on where to look? Moving from New York beside a friend in the subsequent couple months, where I'm paying almost $800 for my room. What can we reasonably expect to find, and where on earth? Hermosa/Redondo? Silverlake? Echo Park?
Also, is it easy to rent on a month-to-month principle in LA or would anyone want a long-term (1 year or more) lease?

You empire desiring relocation to L.A. region or any such should do thorough web search, out-of-town newspapers, etc. Of course what they will flog to an out-of-towner are not typically equal to a local resident, c.f. N.Y. Times...
L.A. are the actual "metropolis" of the U.S.A. So many cities connected together, so much colossal industry it are nearly inconceivable. But it are real. Just as the outrageous prices esp. of definite estate, because some people be willing to check even themselves to get a presumable larger slice of the pie for the moment.
