Where is Washington D.C.?
This is something that has other confused me! I dont want to seem stupid infront of my friends! Is it contained by washington?

Washington DC is the same as the District of Columbia which is a federal enclave jammed in between the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is not in the vicinity to the State of Washington which is on the other side of the country on the West Coast.
