New Yorker moving to Seattle or San Francisco?

Has anyone lived in San Fran or Seattle? I'm moving but can't agree on. I like to be surrounded by an urban setting w/good restaurants but without the impersonalness of NYC. Everyone is so busy and not a soul really cares almost each other. It's so difficult congregation new citizens and remaining friends. So Seattle or San Fran?

Answers:
Seattle. San Fran is too expensive and the weather is worse than it is here. People are pretty friendly here but some consider it a "fake friendly" (like, associates are nice to you, but caught up contained by their own lives so don't really want to make friends near you). It's hard to articulate, though, without knowing what you close to to do and such, but Seattle is a beautiful city and have a lot to present. My friends just moved here after 20+ years within NYC and they like it but are going thru culture shock at not one able to establish take-out from 30 different restaurants at 1 in the morning. :-)
I live contained by Seattle and find it much more balanced than that of SF as the entire SF firth area is instrument liberal and very densely populated beside a higher cost of living while Seattle have a diverse population with miscellaneous viewpoints and miscellaneous costs of living for different suburban and in town locations. Both regions enjoy great public transit!
i would say seattle, a nice communtiy their is Beacon Hill
or West Seattle.
Check out Bellevue and Redmond - they consistency more like a Community. In Seattle - check out Magnolia.
