Chicago What is Crystal Lake Like?
Thinking of moving there. What type of homelife does it own. Peaceful,quiet, friendly society? What makes it different from Chicago? Thanks for your info!

I live about 5 miles away within Algonquin, IL These suburbs are very harmonious and have lots of facility.
If I may suggest, instead of moving to Crystal Lake, move hard by the Intersection of Algonquin RD. and Randall RD. (where I live) There is a lot more including Algonquin Commons-Hollister, Aero, AE, Trader Joes, Borders, *****, and tons more, check out the website , Algonquin Galleria- AMC, Brunswick, Best Buy, Jamba Juice-. Also surrounded by Algonquin is Lifetime, Meijer, and great schools
Its totally different then Chicago...Chicago is a huge city and Crystal Lake is a far away suburb surrounded by the middle of nowhere. Crystal Lake and the surrounding area have been built up latley but it is within no way resembling the city..
As for living there. It wouldnt be the first place I would pick as it is kinda far away from the widely held and you need to drive comparatively a long way to grasp to the city and/or other suburbs.But if you are looking for a quieter life later it is okay. Homes are less expensive contained by McHenry County vs. Cook or Lake county tho.
It's a newer developed nouns, like within the last 5-7 years it boomed. It is extraordinarily nice and quite. The homes are newer construction but here are some older towns around that enjoy things to do. It is different because it is a true suburb... not much city hustle. There is water close by and tons of greenery. It's a suitable move.
