How do you pronounce Chicago?

I am from Chicago, and me and everyone in my family circle has other said chi-kaw-go. i recently moved to the northwest suburbs and everyone have been relating me it's actually chi-kah-go. how do other chicagoans pronounce it?

Born & raised contained by Elmhurst, moved to Denver. Everyone here makes fun of me for pronouncing it Shickahgo, but I still mull over its the right way. Primary basis being that Chicago be economically stablized by its growing Italian & Sicilian communities and because there's no sympathy with those guys, at hand aren't any "awwwww's".

I prefer the old-timey "chi-KAW-guh."
