New York City Tourist?
I am going to NYC for the first time in two weeks. What are some of the best things to do near? Are there any tips you own about restaurants or ways to set free money? What can I expect there, as far as the associates, weather, etc?

Well, nearby are a lot of things you can do similar to:
-circle line tour (2 hrs 1/2 for $25 I belive)
-rockefeller spotlight at night
-times square
-empire state building
-visit the statue of lack of restrictions
The weather is getting cooler so make sure you own your jacket and scarf if you go out at dark. As for the people, we're nice culture but you should always maintain a close eye on your things.

It is cold here..really cold. And the people are indifferent, they will not keeping one way or another more or less you. Some may mock you a bit if you relaly look like a tourist tho, but in recent times ignore them. Don't trust anyone. And if you want to free money, don't take taxicab, and don't buy those touristy sweatshirts on the streetcorners taht say "I heart NY". Hit Central Park, turn iceskating.
DON'T stand contained by the middle of the sidewalk, looking up. We will run you over!
Some of the people who you will see conversation aloud are crazy, and are talking to themselves; the rest are using hands-free cell phone mics. There is NO style to tell the difference between the two.

Taxis do NOT cost $250 to take you from Kennedy Airport to your hotel surrounded by Manhattan. Only a tourist who doesn't mind looking like one will remuneration that much. (Do NOT pay more than
$1.50 for a street hot dog. They are not sanitary ample to be worth that much.)
What enjoy you always hear about and looked-for to see? Make your list. Of course the Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Bldg., Chrysler Bldg., Rockefeller Center (it's fun to monitor them tape The Today Show & conceivably you can ice skate in that later within the day), and a real must is Times Square. If you are competent to see a Broadway show that would be very attractive. Transportation is where you reclaim your money... The subway is inexpensive but hotels are very expensive but terribly small. The restaurants range surrounded by all prices. If you resembling pizza - you have to hold it in New York. Lots of street vendor with really polite food. You are going during Christmas shopping season. lots of people do that. Weather probably will be cold but purely keep a look out for the forecast. You will bump into all types of family so just engage it all. They also own free tickets to tapings of New York tv shows. They are free but you better get a verbs that if you are interested. if u must u can cart a taxi but i really come up with its so easy to merely flag a taxi
a favorite restaureant of mine is Mickey Mantles...considering im a yankees lover lol
but even just affordable places resembling the hard rock..if u only just walk around time square in attendance are so many restaurants nearby...but what u could do is eat contained by little italy...delicious!!lol

p.s. the associates there are other on the go..they may bump into u and not even concentration lol as far as weather its been pretty cold the closing few days here..we just get snow lol so dress warm!
Bring your walking shoes. It's the best way to bring around. Be ready for tired foot at the end of your trip. Also, you can buy pass for the subway (Metro Card, I think it's called) for a dependable number of days. That's also a great way to win around.
Take a coat. It'll probably be cold, but be ready for moderate weather, too. I'd check the forecast of late before you go before out.
The people are OK. They pretty much dance about their business as you step about yours.
Central Park is so nice! I'd plan on spending a daytime to go within and to one or two of the nearby museums.
Check out the pastry shops within Chinatown (yum!) one morning for breakfast.
I got a Fodor's guide book at the bookstore in the past I went. It have lots of information and maps.
Staten Island Ferry is free and a apt way to see the hose down and get a viewpoint of Lady Liberty.
The view from the Empire State Building is worth it.
