Why is it that most movies set contained by LA are something like crime and horrendous relations?

I always wonder why most movies set within Los Angeles generally center around gangstas, drug lords, organized crime, lots of bombing, and psychos. The other day I saw this movie call Harsh Times, with Christian Bale, and it be about this ex-army guy who's roughly psychotic..he drives around LA beating culture up,stealing, acting like a monster. Heat and Collateral both facet organized crime in LA awfully prominently. Just last dark, I saw a movie called Alpha Dog which be based on a true story in the order of a wannabe drug kingpin in LA who concluded up killing an innocent kid for no worthy reason. Anyway, it seem like adjectives the movies I see about individuals living in LA are something like bad populace (spoiled, rich, screwed up, ghetto, psychotic) who do terrible things to respectively other or for a living. Why is this the case? Is this a worthy representation of LA life? Are here any people surrounded by LA who are just conventional people who travel to work and spend time with their family?

Answers:
la is a very risky place.
You know, you're right. I go through Netflix and IMBD, and could not find one movie about LA that have a positive message.

Not Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles, not Clueless, not the Aviator, not the 40-year Old Virgin, not Terminator 2, not The Shop Girl, not Them!, not a bit Quentin Tarentino film. Not even the Academy-Award (r) in the lead Chinatown or Crash. Nothing since the Dodgers left Brooklyn.

And when's the end time you saw any movie about average people who distribute time with their kids? Not counting Home Movies.
The problem is.If they had a movie in the region of a calm, serene, church going sober family connections children struggling to get through graduate university...would you watch it?
Mempto--A great many movies of adjectives types are shot within 30 miles of Hollywood. SAG AND NUMEROUS OTHER UNIONS required those working on films be paid substantially extra to "travel".In the prehistoric days it was time and a partly if you had to travel move than close to 30 miles from Hollywood, that is why the studios simply moved to Burbank and bought "ranches" in the San Fernando dale for production shooting, Like at the PARAMOUNT RANCH...Why do you think BATMAN be shot in Griffith Park...Time is money, infant...
Those are only the movies you're watching. The vast majority of films are shot surrounded by LA, so even if you see something that doesn't say it's set contained by LA, it probably is anyways.
Nope. Nobody normal here. All psychotic, wacked-out criminals and psychos, one and adjectives.

What did you say your phone number be?

ROTFLMAO!

Thanks for stopping to actually feel. Most people see those movies and REALLY reckon that's how it is here. In fact, the majority of the city is similar to that. Hard working people who are vitally normal. There's a nice vibe contained by LA, where you can of late be yourself, which is why a lot of associates like it here, and more want to move here.

Unfortunately, that make for a rather boring movie, and it wouldn't fashion any money at all. So, you carry all the crazy stuff, because it sell tickets.
What about L.A. Story, starring Steve Martin? ;)
I guess it has more to do near the movies you select, rather than the location of the show.
Also, keep surrounded by mind that movies and TV do NOT define authenticity. Very few movies show real vivacity just as it is, because movies other seek to dramatize things and brand name them more exciting or serious than they really are.
