Hotel renting?
I am 16 right now but summer of 2009 i want to be in motion to laguna beach california beside some friends. i will be 18, is that old adequate to rent a hotel room or is there a abiding age limit for renting? i want to know b4 i start in your favour. thanks!

I would not recommend taking a bunch of 17 year olds with you. You should know how to get a room at 18 but you will be responsible for the room and anything that happen in it. continue a little longer until your friends are over 18 and are responsible for their own arrangements or you might find you are spending all your time kid sitting. And mind the laws while you are nearby, hotel management have a certain amount of say-so on what goes on when your on their property and you could find yourself contained by trouble if your friends act up and your the "adult".
Many hotels require that someone contained by the party be 21 or elder before they will release a hotel room. This is true even if someone younger books beside their own credit card. You may want to check around and make sure the hotel will allow you to stay in need this provision. Where ever you book, make sure you own an email or some other written confirmation that you will be allowed to stay in the room lacking someone 21+.
Most hotels (especially cuff hotels) only require guests to be 18 (as long as they enjoy a credit card). Some hotels will require you to be 21...especially upscale hotels, hotels with casinos (i.e. Las Vegas and Atlantic City), and hotels surrounded by areas with a big bar/club scene.
That is old plenty. Make sure everyone else staying with you is going to be 18 too, because they can reject relations who are under 18 next to out a guardian. They will probably ask you for a cash deposit or credit card, to build sure you don't trash the room. usually deposit is any where from $50-$150(a night).
Make sure you and your friends hold your I.D, because they will probably photo copy it.
If I were you I would be in motion online and search for hotels within laguna beach and name them and ask. That is what I would do.
In most cases the minimum age to book a hotel room is 18.
