Anyone travel to Catalina Island lately??
Can anyone tell me what it is resembling there after the fire? Does Avalon smell of smoke? What if anything have changed after the fire on Catalina?

I was near this weekend and there is no smell contained by Avalon. There are areas that have burned but that have not changed the pace of enthusiasm on the Island. I love it there.

No, no smoke smell at all. Avalon is exactly like peas in a pod..but if you go on one of the tours to the interior of the island, you will see lots of fire disrupt.mostly barren hillsides. Once the rainly season starts I expect lots of landslides...but until later...everything is pretty much the same.
No, nobody go to Catalina except poor old those who can't afford to go to Hawaii, and own to settle for Catalina.
