Take awalk along the Gulf wet, dine at one of the seafood restuarants on the dock. Visit the many momunments as economically as the mothballed navy vessel. Watch out for the jellyfish though.
In totting up to the hands on museum and the nina, pinta, and santa maria, here is a cool surf museum downtown. I always love the sand, and eating at Black Diamond Oyster Bar. It's a restaurant on Rod Field Road and not amenable on Mondays. There's also a nice botanical garden, and if you are in the mood you can turn to rockport where in attendance is a haunted house.
rob a drive to aransas pass and appropriate the ferry to port A. the beach are alot more enjoyable.
Nothing, I despise this place. The beach is infested beside sea weed right presently, it's unpleasant. No one goes to the Lexington, lol. The Tx St. Aquariumis nice and inexpensive. The bayfront is sweet as powerfully. You can take a stroll on the ocean wall. Honestly, there isn't much to do here.
Make a trip to San Antonio and visit Sea World, Fiesta TX., Alamo, Museums, Zoo, Missions, come and see the Spurs win, River stroll,..Oh! I know you could meet beside friends and have a beer and converse about the honest times you have have in San Antonio.
check out the Texas State Aquarium down the street from the USS Lexington... hit the jettys... steal a trip on the ferry and see the dolphins... drink at blackbeards... check out the shops, they have nice little things, but dont stop by too many, cuz once you be to two or three, youve seen it adjectives. then be in motion home... thats about it..
The beach on the island right underneath that causeway that runs north out of downtown have both the Lexington Aircraft Carrier and the Texas State Aquarium on it. Both are worth seeing. Also, if you drive a little further north and East through Aransas Pass, you can lift the ferry across to Port Aransas which is on the north ending of Mustang Island and from there you can find deep-sea fishing, boating and other places to basically hang out surrounded by a beach town setting.

The coast is better at South Padre, but this is an easier drive from most places in Texas.
