C-130's over Huntington Beach?
Since noon a steady stream of military C-130's have been flying over my bureau which is close to the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station. I know that Boeing has a C-130 facility at Long Beach Airport explicitly about to be shut down, but the number of planes flying over is almost 1 every 20 minutes. Has anybody heard what's going on?
Answers:
Military reserve pilots must fly a minimum of hours monthly to remain on flight status. They usually pick a morning or two and go round and round on a predetermined course and create the required number of take-offs and landing. Usually, they fly over the desert so that they will not disturb anyone.
maybee these guys on their way to pick up MRE's
