Free or Inexpensive Parking Near Philadelphia Marriott Downtown Hotel?
I am driving down to Philadelphia Saturday and staying at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, located at 1201 Market Street. The Marriott website says that parking at the hotel is 41.40 per light of day?!
Can I park on the streets within the area for free or can anyone share me where at hand are inexpensive parking lots (municipal or otherwise) nearby?
Answers:
There is a parking lot across the street from the Marriott. The is a parking lot located at:
12th and Arch Streets. Maximum rate from 12-24 = $26.00
12th and Filbert (directly across from the Marriott) = 12-24 hours = $26.00

There isn't much free parking in the nouns, most have meters attached to spaces.
Lots of Garages and lots nearby. Problem? Your smack mop in the middle of Center city. So spots are at a premium. Plus the close by Construction at the Convention center is actually reducing spots. I'd bite the bullet and clear the $41. You would have to park means of access over to the other side of Spring Garden st to find a free spot(6 blocks north).
I usually park at the handy college garages (like Hannemann Medical School) for $6 or $7 and park on the street when the meters become free. Much cheaper than $26 a day and the solely hassle is moving the car from the street to garage and vice versa if one's calendar allows for it. Sundays are free.
