Places to travel out and hold fun at surrounded by Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas?
My husband and I are going down to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area within Texas and we were hoping that somebody here might know how to give us some philosophy on good places to move about to to have fun and possibly to go out drinking and what not.

Hi Ant
(EDIT FOR IRVING)
I'd recommend Humperdink's 4959 N O Connor Rd
Irving, TX 75062
(972) 717-5515
Or Buffalo Wild Wings 1200 Market Pl
Irving, TX
75063
(972) 432-0011
Both are nice places near plenty of TV's.
Shouldn't be hard to find near Yahoo maps or such.
Have fun!
Answering your query depends quite a bit on exactly where on earth you'll be staying and what music and atmosphere you like...Fort Worth have a lot of fun places, country, popular, etc. but you could be an hour's drive from it if you're within Dallas. Fort Worth try Sundance Square, Mid-Cities try Arlington on I-20 near the precinct at Cooper Street or close to the Ballpark and Six Flags for restauarants and drinks. Addison has like mad of neat places too and Dallas have a little of everything...downtown, Uptown, lower Greenville and Deep Ellum or principal to Gilleys. Depends on what kind of music and atmosphere you similar to. Hope you guys have fun!
If you want some fun night vivacity, the Stockyards in Ft. Worth are a blast!! There are some bar that you have to look in, one of which is Billy Bob's, the world's largest honkey tonk. They have bull riding, dance, and concerts going on all the time.
The "W" Hotel has the hottest railing currently going.it is on the top floor of the Hotel...and is really cool...very hip.
The West Village nouns is also very up...very yuppy.
Greenville Avenue is the college age group..lot of fun...
Deep Ellum is also cool place...all-embracing variety of citizens...
Oak Lawn is the gay night club nouns...
Sports--Baseball, Football, Basketball, Hockey, Soccer
Restaurants--Go to Addison. Tons of hip places to choose from. There is also a comedy club there.
Shopping--Galleria, Vista Ridge, Grapevine Mills Mall.

There is lots to do. The state of Texas offer lots of free info about adjectives areas just for the asking. Contact the state tourisum department.
In Dallas in that is the zoo, aquarium, Kennedy museum, Fair Park, lost of parks and the arts museums down town. Shopping is great at the malls or on Preston and Northwest Hwy.
Depending on the time of year you have several sporting events at the American Airline Center.
Just out of town you can find Six flags, Rangers Baseball, Cowboys statium, Frisco ballpark, Ranches, etc.
West wind up market place surrounded by Dallas. Definitely the "North Side" stockyards in Fort Worth. Sundance Square contained by downtown Fort Worth is really nice. A lot of bars and eat on Greenville ave in Dallas as in good health. But Fort Worth is a lot safer.
if you want to dance swank, go to the slab at The Melrose Hotel - piano bar and virtuous martinis. It's an older crowd and not a "find wild" atmosphere but great for people wathcing and discussion.
You are staying particularly close to DUKES ROADHOUSE. THis is a fun place to drink and meet race. ON Tuesday nights they enjoy a special-- buy a bar chalice for 5.50 put anything you want in it for 1.50. All you can drink. And they serve food too.
This place is other packed, adjectives ages welcome. It is right of 183 W (Towards fort worth) and Central. Once you exit Central you bear a left below the highway and it is in that shopping center.
Has an outdoor deck explicitly huge, broadcasts all main sports games on plasmas...
Stockyards and Sundance Square in Ft. Worth - 30 minutes or so from Irving.
