Summer Vacationing surrounded by southern California? Where to live?
I'm thinking of moving to California (los angeles, north hollywood, etc) for the summer only! And I don't know the best opening to go give or take a few it. I'm not sure if renting an apartment is a good hypothesis, Because some wont allow short term lease. In my case, I would be living within 3 months and then returning home for university. Are there any affordable leave apartments in the city ? Also, furnished? And where on earth are the nice, upscale, areas of the cali? I'm not looking to live in some trash dump lol. Also any other ideas/advice nearly living in these areas are all right appreciated!
thanks contained by advance!!(=

Good answer!
You could also google "Los Angeles Vacation Rentals".
Here is a list of nicer areas within the city:
"LA" is such a big place, there are so plentiful neighborhoods/cities where you can live. Of course, even in a city or neighborhood, there are safer section and less-safe sections.
In Los Angeles, some nice section are West LA, Brentwood, Westwood, Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey, Los Feliz, Silverlake, Eagle Rock, Encino, Tarzana, Studio City, Toluca Lake, Granada Hills, Woodland Hills, Sherman Oaks, West Hills, Chatsworth.
To the east: South Pasadena, parts of Pasadena, Altadena, Arcadia, Monrovia, Glendora, San Dimas, Laverne, Azusa, Rancho Cucamonga.
Along the beach: Santa Monica, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes, Rancho PV.
In Orange County aka "The OC": Seal Beach , Huntington Beach , Newport Beach , Corona Del Mar , Laguna Beach , Dana Point , Capistrano Beach , San Clemente , Brea, Yorba Linda, Orange, Tustin, Irvine, Laguna Hills, Rancho Santa Margarita, Lake Forest
To the west: Agoura, Calabasas, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Simi Valley, Moorpark.
This is not an all-inclusive catalogue, but it's a start.
The Oakwood Apartments on Barham surrounded by the San Fernando Valley is possibly your best choice if you don't want to rent someone's room or can't sublet for a few months. This huge apartment complex is used as corporate housing for the studios in the Burbank/Universal City nouns. During film & tv production within the area, you will find lots of actor and wannabe actors living within too. The apartments are nice enough own everything you need. It isn't the cheapest place to stay but you will be in close proximity everything and have everything you want.
Your best bet is to look for a college student who desires to sublet their apartment for the summer. You can find them furnished, etc. I would recommend look at what schools are effective the areas you want to live in and asking in attendance.
Personally, I just moved to Glendale within October and I love it. It is clean and nice close to where I live. I don't know just about schools here though.
I only just graduated from UCSC contained by Santa Cruz, and every summer people considered necessary to find someone to rent their place whilst they went home for the summer. So I am sure it happen here too. You should look at stuff near UCLA, etc:)
There might be stuff programmed on craigslist.org too, and you can look for different/specific areas within LA.
