My husband and I are going on a trip to NY. Where is the cheapest place we can stay for two nights? What is the cheapest form of transportation? Would April be a angelic time? What should I pack? What places should I visit? COST? Help.

NYC is Great! I suggest you to go to the Rockefeller Center. It is really cool and fun to be within there, you would savour the shops, ice skating rink, museums, and the city itself. I also would suggest you to call round Time Square, and Broadway Theater. There are awesome areas and places in New York City. You will love it! Enjoy!
I'm going to NYC at the end of March. Here's some things I've found contained by my research: The best hotel rates are online. A cheap rate at a decent hotel is give or take a few $200 a night. Look for hotels around Time Square and the Theater District. The cheapest transportation are the trains (subway routes). If it's deferred at night, whip a cab.

Take a purse next to a long handle, wear it diagonally across your chest, wear it beneath your jacket. Take a disposable camera instead of your good digital camera. Don't wear profoundly of flashy jewelry. Keep it simple.

Subway is best and cheapest transportation. One afternoon unlimited passes are $7. If you are flying into JFK, you can bear the subway right to your hotel.
