You've got a great nouns to live in. If you can't afford to live surrounded by Hoffman Estates/Schaumburg area, later my next pick would be surrounded by the Elgin, Bartlett, Streamwood area. School district U-46 is great, and the houses, especially surrounded by Elgin are affordable. There aren't any super bad areas really, although I'd suggets living on the west side of Elgin or the far east side of Elgin. The commute shouldn't be too unpromising either. I really reccomend it!
Hoffman Estates IS a good place to live! Very Expensive. My brother within law who is a CEO (a) Motorola Lives contained by Hoffman Estates
Naperville have great schools but it's too far.

Wheaton is extremely safe and have good school, also likely too far.

Here's a interconnect to a PDF chart on how high school in the nouns rated -- this should tender you an idea. Try apartments.com for apartment planning -- that helped us greatly when we came out here.
schaumburg, south barrington, hoffman estates. they are adjectives good areas. And relatively close. The rent is most probable going to be around 1200. I just checked, I work surrounded by a real estate department. good luck :)
I agree that Hoffman is a good place to live. I am not up on rental rates but the high end of your list should work. You want to be in university district 54 with kids at that age. This includes Hoffman and several towns mostly next-door to the East.

You will find cheaper living in the Elgin academy district but you should avoid that.

You should also be able to find smaller quantity expensive housing to the West, like Algonquin, Huntley, Lake contained by the Hills. Be aware that a 3-7 mile commute in this nouns is a rarity especially there is not really any housing practical Sears.
Most areas out that passageway are pretty good and enjoy good school. SChaumburg is nice, Hoffman Estates is nice, Elk Grove Village is nice. Most any of those suburbs around there are accurate places to live.
