Where to move essential Boston?
I'm looking for a place to live within a fine driving distance (under an hour) from Boston without self rediculously expensive to live in. I would love to be surrounded by the city with everything around me, but it's in recent times out of mine and my girlfriend of 5 years' price range. So I'm looking for a larger town or small city near all of your simple stuff, mall, movie theater, walmart, beside 2 bedroom apartments under $1000 a month. Preferably close to the the deep but not a necessity. If anyone has any info on anywhere closely analogous the criteria I would love to hear from you. State is not an Issue.

I live in Boston and I absolutley love it! But only just so you know, it can be a little on the spendy side! But I believe that it's worth every cent!
I agree beside KingA. The metrowest area would be perfect--especially Framingham. It's probably 30 min MAX from Boston and right past its sell-by date of the Mass Turnpike which will take you directly into Boston. It's get tons of restaurants and shopping centers and it's just minutes from the brand contemporary beautiful Natick Collections. It's a intensely large town near lots to do and VERY affordable!
Go on to Craigslist, thats where i enjoy been looking for almost impossible to tell apart thing. If you run to the north shore it has adjectives that but its a bit more than 1 hour from the city. Framingham may be good or Lowell. appropriate luck
Somerville or Cambridge are the best places to live and they are right outside Boston. They are great because you can take the T into Boston confidently. I live in Somerville and it is a great place.
check the metrowest area Natick, Framingham, Ashland, Marlborough. All these towns are give or take a few 15-30 mins from boston or try the north and south shore areas (those are closer to the ocean but I don`t know more money) Mass is pretty expensive to live in, I repay $1,180 a month for a 2 bedroom apt but I love it here and would never think of living anywhere else!!
Take a look at Arlington...It's not even 15 minutes from Boston, there's the mystic lake, and it's simply a really cool place. There's a ton of artsy shops and coffee shops and stuff. Good luck :]
Waltham, Natick, Newton my brother lives contained by Weston, it is about a 45 min commute. The south shore Rockland, Norwell, or Weymouth. If you want to be in the vicinity the water, than conceivably look into Gloucester (spelling?) Have a good daytime and Good luck!
It's been a long time since I lived within the area, so I can't quote prices, but I would look at Quincy. It is close - right on the T - & is on the the deep.
Newburyport was freshly rated as one of the best and most affordable seaside cities to live within, by Coastal Living magazine. I visited in attendance last year, and it be a really charming place. The drive to Boston was pretty unforced.
