yes, sdsu is overcrowded. i graduate from there contained by 1992, and it was complicated to get within and get classes even afterwards. much worse now! well brought-up luck!

if you're looking at cal states, SDSU is one of the harder ones to achieve into, mainly because of it's locatiuon and reputation for individual a party conservatory. If you're looking at UC (University of California, California's top tier universities), then you shouldn't hold a problem at all
