Is texas really more of a southern or western state?
I visited texas end month,El paso still seemed resembling new mexico too me,while going futher east towards dallas population seemed more southern.Do the regions of texas differ from one another and to what amount

but if i have to pick only one, i'd say-so it's a little bit more southern than western.
Well as a party who lives in the blue bot (or the boil, however you look at it) specifically austin i have to vote yes. El paso is more or less still contemporary mexico. along the border there is a heavier inflience and i would assume (but enjoy not been) that far east would be more like alabama. The more stereotypical parts of texas give the impression of being to fall surrounded by the small towns, even though houston, san antonio and the DFW metroplex are all conservative they adjectives have their own distinctions ( DFW man more "cowboy", san antonio has a completely strong hispanic influence (only city i know that has a mexican-american celebration to be precise such a big deal that the kids grasp a day rotten of school for it ). I would hold to say in that are sharp differences, seeing as anywhere outside of austin i feel resembling an alien, and all thought i am not conservative i am middle of the road compared to abundantly of people.
I was born and raise in interior Texas (Waco), and I definitely estimate El Paso is a lot more close to New Mexico than the rest of Texas. Certainly the climate is similar, and even the time zone (Mountain) is the same as NM. Much of west Texas have that same feeling, adjectives the way down to the Big Bend nouns, which is in reality part if the Chihuahuan desert (interesting place to look in, but VERY hot).
In reference to your quiz, however, I would say that Texas is more of a southern state, by and colossal, than a western state. While it does have the heritage of mortal cattle country, it was also part of a set of the Confederacy, and like abundant southern states, the flavor of the Confederacy and the "Deep South" is still alive and well. South Texas, especially the Rio Grande Valley, without a doubt has a Mexican/Hispanic flavor, and a life-size Hispanic population, from around San Antonio south. The Panhandle (the square part north of Lubbock, as far as Texans are concerned) is unquestionably slice of the Great Plains, and reflects more of a "middle America" be aware of. East Texas, near Arkansas and Louisiana, is unambiguously the part near the greatest "old South" quality to me, and Central Texas - Waco, Austin, New Braunfels, and so on - isn't far behind. Dallas and Houston are their own little worlds, but enormously different from each other to my road of thinking. Houston is simply a big city, any way you cut it; Dallas is portion of a very substantial metro area, and newly has a different sort of "feel" to it, at lowest possible to me.
As I probably don't have to relay you if you have done much driving contained by Texas, it's a HUGE state, and the sort of place that you can find just almost whatever you're looking for, if you're inclined to travel a bit, and accept it for what it is.
yes they do differ...alot. East Texas is more southern sounding while other cities own their own style also.

Texas is a southern state, but yes different regions are slightly different. The cities and towns that are close to the border pick up on which ever state (or country.Mexico) is at that specific border, and kind of infuse it beside the Texas lifestyle and attitude. But I would think that's true beside many different states. Border towns are benevolent of a mix of both areas, at least that's what I've notice.
seem like everyone have their own opinion and even afterwards they cant agree on anything. hence why we can never get anything done within this state! but in adjectives, bc we are so large texas have even more space to be a diverse state and have something for everyone. my vote is for southwestern. we in recent times love it all!

yes i live in el paso texas and el paso is massively different than sanantonio, dallas, houston etc. El paso is largely hispanic since el paso borders mexico. El paso is a poor city with low income family. It is also called the sun city since it get very hot here during the summer. It does not precipitation as much as San antonio houston dallas etc. yes very remarkably differ
